Publishing Policy Statements

Privacy

The journal ensures that all personal information provided by authors, reviewers, and readers is treated as confidential and used exclusively for editorial and publishing purposes.

Plagiarism

The journal strictly prohibits plagiarism and uses reputable screening tools to verify that all submitted manuscripts are original and properly cited, with similarity levels below 30%.

Retraction

The journal reserves the right to retract published articles in cases of proven misconduct, serious errors, or ethical violations that undermine the integrity of the work.

Disclaimer

Authors are fully responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and legal compliance of all information and data presented in their manuscripts.

The journal shall not be held liable for any information, data, or content provided by the authors.

Corrections and Addenda

The journal is committed to maintaining the integrity of the published scholarly record. When significant errors, omissions, or updates are identified that affect the interpretation or scientific soundness of a published article, the appropriate correction will be issued as an erratum (for errors introduced by the journal), a corrigendum (for errors introduced by the author), or an addendum (for important additional information that enhances but does not invalidate the original work).

All such notices are published as clearly labelled, permanent items associated with the original article, indexed in the journal's online archive, and dated to ensure full transparency. Minor typographical or formatting errors are normally corrected in the online version without a separate notice. Decisions regarding errata, addenda, and corrigenda are made by the editorial office in consultation with the authors and in accordance with international publishing standards.

Data Set

IJORED supports transparency, reproducibility, and open science by encouraging authors to make the data underlying their research as openly accessible as possible. Authors are strongly encouraged to deposit the primary data supporting their manuscript in a recognized, publicly accessible repository and to include a clear data availability statement in their article indicating how readers can access the data.

Data sets should be accompanied by appropriate metadata, documentation, and, where possible, analysis scripts or code, to enable independent verification and reuse. In cases where data cannot be openly shared—for example, due to ethical, legal, or privacy concerns—authors must provide a justified explanation in the data availability statement and, where applicable, describe how qualified researchers may request access under defined conditions.

The journal does not host raw data sets directly but requires that underlying data be archived in suitable repositories or institutional platforms that support citation, version control, and, whenever possible, persistent identifiers such as DOIs.

Gender, Racial, and Language

IJORED promotes inclusivity, equity, and respect in all aspects of publishing. Authors must use inclusive, non‑discriminatory language regarding gender, race, ethnicity, and other personal characteristics, avoiding stereotypes and demeaning terms. The journal also supports clear, accessible English without discriminatory preference for any national or cultural variety. Editorial decisions are based on scholarly merit, not on the author's gender, race, nationality, language background, or institution.

Copyright

IJORED operates under a clear copyright framework in which authors retain the rights to their work while granting the Institute of Adult Education (IAE) the non‑exclusive right to publish, reproduce, distribute, and make the article available in print and online formats under the journal's open access license (Creative Commons Attribution‑NonCommercial, CC BY‑NC).

Authors are responsible for ensuring that their manuscripts do not infringe any third‑party copyright or intellectual property rights and for obtaining all necessary permissions for the use of copyrighted material (e.g., figures, tables, or lengthy quotations).

Any suspected or reported copyright violation, including unauthorised reuse, plagiarism, or misuse of licensed content, will be investigated by the editorial office in accordance with international publishing standards. Depending on the findings, the journal may issue corrections, add notices, or retract affected articles, and may also notify the author's institution or relevant authorities where appropriate.
