Manuscript preparation

Manuscript preparation and submission guidelines. Individuals interested in publishing with the IAE Journal of Research and Development (IJORED) should prepare their manuscripts according to the following structure and requirements.

Manuscript structure

  • Abstract. Maximum of 200 words followed by 3–5 keywords.
  • Introduction. Clearly state the research problem and key issues. Explain the purpose and rationale of the study. Provide an overview of relevant theoretical and empirical literature.
  • Methodology. Describe how the research was conducted. Detail the research design, data collection, and analysis methods. Address ethical considerations.
  • Results and discussion. Present the study's findings clearly. Discuss their meaning, relevance, and implications in the context of existing research and theory. Separation of results and discussion sections is acceptable.
  • Conclusion. Summarise the main findings concisely. Reaffirm their significance and highlight the study's key contributions.
  • Recommendations. Provide specific, actionable suggestions based on the findings. Offer practical solutions, guidance for future research, or policy and practice recommendations.
  • References. All references should follow APA 7th edition style.

Formatting and submission requirements

Manuscripts must be submitted in Microsoft Word format (MS Word 97–2003).

Manuscripts that do not adhere to these guidelines will be rejected immediately without clarification.

Submission process

  • Review the Author Guidelines for the journal's section policies and detailed author information.
  • Authors must register with the journal before submitting a manuscript.
  • Registered authors can log in and begin the five-step submission process.

Peer review process

All submitted manuscripts undergo a rigorous blind peer review process to ensure quality and academic integrity.

  1. Initial screening The managing editor first assesses whether the manuscript fits the journal's scope.
  2. Plagiarism check The manuscript is checked for plagiarism using anti-plagiarism software. The tolerance level of plagiarism is thirty percent.
  3. Reviewer assignment The managing editor assigns at least two editorial board members to review the manuscript, requesting their assessments within three weeks, based on the review guidelines. If the board members are overburdened, the managing editor may seek additional qualified reviewers.
  4. Reviewer feedback The managing editor communicates the reviewers' comments to the author without revealing the reviewers' identities. The author must address all comments and document the changes made as per the managing editor's guidelines.
  5. Final review Once the revised manuscript is received, the managing editor sends it back to the original reviewers for final approval. The author may then make final revisions before the editorial board deliberates and makes a publication decision.
  6. Editorial decision During the editorial board meeting, members discuss and make final decisions on each manuscript. The chief editor then notifies the authors of the board's decisions.
